The Cyber Elephant in the Boardroom -Video Interview

What is hidden behind the Cyber Elephant in the Boardroom? I interviewed Mathieu Gorge, the CEO, and founder of VigiTrust, a cybersecurity company with clients in 120 countries. Mathieu has over 20 years of IT security and risk management experience and is much sought after for his expertise. He has been asked to speak at conferences, including RSA, ISSA, and ISACA, as an authority on cybersecurity solutions. Mathieu is a prominent member of the international cybersecurity community—due to VigiTrust’s continued success as well as its 5 Pillars of Security Framework™— and serves as president and chief security officer of the French Irish Chamber of Commerce. He previously served as the chairman of Infosecurity Ireland and was an official reviewer for ANS.

Book Author – The Cyber Elephant in the Boardroom

Mathieu is also the author of “The Cyber Elephant in the Boardroom: Cyber-Accountability with the Five Pillars of Security Framework.” He tells us how he came up with the idea of the book and why companies should follow the 5 Pillars of Security Framework.

“It’s a jargon-free, easy-to-implement, industry-agnostic methodology to help C-level executives and board members understand bubbles of risk, build enterprise cybersecurity strategies, and achieve cyber-accountability,” said Gorge

With Mathieu’s expert advice, any C-level executive or board member can understand their responsibility towards cyber risk, visualize their organization’s current cybersecurity and compliance position, and learn tactics for implementing long-lasting, adaptable cybersecurity strategies.

“The world of CEOs, CxOs, and boards continues to undergo revolutionary change at an unprecedented rate. Unfortunately, this rate of change is two paces behind the technology and security requirements. Worse still, it is one step behind the legal requirements. The Cyber-Elephant in the Boardroom will be key in closing these gaps and enabling the executive team to meet the new requirements for success! Michael F. Angelo, CRISC, CISSP, CDPSE Chief Security Architect
