Allow us to understand more about your job
My role defies traditional definitions. I believe the essence of the AI era lies in breaking boundaries and embracing freedom. My work spans multiple domains, yet everything is inherently connected to AI.
It all began with my fascination with creating AI-generated videos. To streamline the process, I developed custom chatbots optimised for video production. These tools quickly gained traction, earning a place in GPT platforms, where users not only found them effective but also began placing orders for custom solutions.
As my work garnered attention, organisations started inviting me to share my expertise, leading to my role as an AI educator. Today, I wear many hats: I’m a one-person production powerhouse, acting as writer, designer, editor and composer for video projects; a custom chatbot developer, crafting tailored solutions for diverse needs; and an AI instructor, passionately spreading knowledge about the power and possibilities of artificial intelligence. You could say I embody the concept of a “three-in-one career” in this transformative era.
What motivated you to pursue such a career path?
One ordinary day at the office, as I was going about my usual tasks as chief producer, I came across an ad for OpenAI’s Sora — a coffee cup with a swirling storm inside, a cinematic blend of creativity and technology. At that moment, something clicked. I realised this was the future. The thought struck me: if such visuals could be harnessed, they could mark the beginning of my own journey, creating my films, my ads, my story.
Driven by this epiphany, I felt an irresistible pull, like love at first sight, to explore AI. It felt like a calling. I immediately enrolled in an AI course and mastered it within just two months. I found myself utterly captivated as I delved deeper. The lessons were so engaging that I often went beyond the curriculum, completely losing track of time.
From creating AI-generated videos, I developed an interest in building chatbots optimised for video production. One by one, I built custom chatbots using GPT-based systems, and before I knew it, I had created 10 of them, complete with a structured management system that resembled a perfect dream team.
I started posting my work on platforms like LinkedIn to document my journey and share my creations. These posts caught the attention of many, leading to speaking invitations and requests for custom chatbot development and AI video production. Most recently, I collaborated with Upstage Entertainment to create a pilot trailer for the Mystery TV series Choon, using AI exclusively. What started as a single spark of inspiration has since evolved into a multifaceted career that combines creativity, technology, and passion for sharing the limitless potential of AI.
Please describe a day in your life
My daily life is a dynamic blend of AI teaching and video production. Currently, I conduct two group-based courses on a weekly basis: one is a filmmaking course using my custom-built WAAS (Workflow-as-a-Service) chatbots optimised for video production, and the other is titled “Create Shorts in Just Two Days”, designed for beginners to dive into AI-generated content creation quickly and effectively.
My efficiency owes much to my customised WAAS chatbots, which I’ve tailored to fit my workflow. I update these tools regularly to ensure users experience a seamless process without any inconvenience.
Besides teaching, I dedicate time every single day to creating AI-powered content. Whether it’s a short film or reel, I ensure I produce at least one AI video daily. This commitment stems from my belief that to remain a pioneer, I must stay hands-on with emerging technologies. In fact, I even created a short video documenting a typical day in my life: you can find the link here for a behind-the-scenes look.
How many projects are you currently working on? Please describe them
I’m currently involved in multiple exciting projects that span teaching, content creation, and custom AI development. On the teaching front, I collaborate with Upstage Entertainment to conduct courses, including English-language classes tailored for international participants and workshops held locally in South Korea. At the same time, Upstage and I are actively seeking writers who are interested in transforming their scripts into AI-generated films.
One of my recent accomplishments is Choon, a mystery romance thriller created entirely with AI. The positive reception has been incredibly encouraging, and I’m planning to expand on this series, experimenting with longer formats in future instalments.
In addition to these projects, I frequently receive requests from start-ups and executives to develop personalised chatbots tailored to their specific needs. These custom chatbot projects are handled on a rolling basis, allowing me to balance innovation and precision for each client.
What is the most challenging thing you had to deal with while working in this field?
The most challenging aspect of working in this field stems from the unpredictable nature of AI-generated content, which is a core part of my daily routine. Every time I create an AI video, it feels like waiting for the results of a lottery draw. I find myself hoping for the perfect output, knowing full well that the process involves a mix of chance and creativity.
The real challenge lies in finding the right balance: allowing AI enough freedom to generate unique results while maintaining just enough control to guide its direction. It’s a delicate dance, much like navigating a dream you can’t entirely control, granting it freedom within boundaries while striving for synchronisation between human intention and machine execution.
This journey of co-creating with AI while painting a grand vision and embracing the unexpected is my greatest challenge and joy. In a way, it’s a beautiful paradox that continuously inspires me to push further.
What is your greatest achievement up until today?
If I were to compare it to my most groundbreaking project, my greatest achievement would be serving as the executive producer of a drama series with a production budget of approximately $15 million, a true testament to my ability to lead and innovate on a grand scale. However, if I were to truly reflect on what feels like my most significant achievement, it’s happening right now.
As a recognised AI pioneer in Korea, my work goes beyond developing technologies—I’m opening minds. Many people still approach AI with hesitation or scepticism, and my mission is to bridge that gap. By introducing the efficiency and productivity of this transformed world, I’m helping others embrace the possibilities AI offers. Witnessing how people’s lives improve as a result and knowing that my research and efforts play a part in this transformation is my most meaningful accomplishment.
Every day, I dedicate myself to learning, adapting, and advancing AI not just for my own growth but also to make it accessible and impactful for others. Sharing the vision of a more efficient and practical way of life through AI makes every single day a part of my ongoing legacy. This continuous journey of progress is, without a doubt, my greatest achievement, and it’s still unfolding.
What did you dream of creating/inventing/doing as a child?
As a child, I was endlessly fascinated by the idea of creating something that could breathe life into the inanimate. Whether crafting elaborate dollhouse adventures, writing essays at school, or thrilling my friends with ghost stories, I always found my greatest happiness in the act of creation.
I even dreamt, quite literally, of my creations coming to life, like scenes straight out of Toy Story where the toys I made would move, talk and interact while I watched proudly from the sidelines. Looking back, it feels like I was always destined to be a creator, a kind of storyteller who gives life to her ‘babies,’ her works of art. It’s as though this passion to create and infuse life into my ideas was ingrained in me from the very beginning.
If you could say something to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could speak to my younger self, I would tell her this: Sometimes, the path you yearn for with all your heart isn’t the only way forward. Alongside that road, there may be another — a truer one — waiting quietly for you to notice. Keep your eyes open, not just ahead, but to the possibilities around you.
You have a habit of fixating on a single destination, pouring all your focus into it, but if you take a moment to look to your side, to glance around, you’ll see unexpected shortcuts and hidden opportunities patiently waiting for your gaze, for your choice.
Open your heart just a little wider. The future holds paths you’ve never dreamed of, roads you can’t yet imagine, and they’re waiting for you to take that step. Like your creations, it depends on which possibilities you choose to breathe life into.
Do you have a person who influences or motivates you?
Sam Altman, the co-founder of OpenAI, has profoundly influenced me in my journey. When I first stepped into the world of AI, I found myself drawn to his interviews, podcasts, and articles, not just for his insights on technology but also for his moral compass and visionary outlook on life.
He spoke about humans’ remarkable adaptability and how we inevitably adjust to both the good and the bad, a thought that gave me hope and resilience. He encouraged finding routines optimized for oneself, and I realized how essential it is to create a life that truly aligns with who I am. His belief that we are heading toward an era where one person can accomplish anything with the right tools felt like a glimpse into my future.
As I listened to him, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of synchronicity. His words didn’t just resonate: they came to life through my own experiences until I became the living proof.
Which famous person would you like to have dinner with and why?
If I could have dinner with any famous person, it would undoubtedly be Sam Altman. This ties back to the previous question, as his work and vision have profoundly influenced my journey in AI. But this dinner wouldn’t just revolve around discussing the future of AI and its impact on humanity. I’d like to explore his personal stories and ask What inspires him. What keeps him awake at night? How does he manage the risks and navigate the immense pressure of guiding humanity into the next technological era?
Given that my path into this field began with OpenAI, this dinner would be a full-circle moment: a chance to exchange thoughts with someone whose vision helped lay the foundation for my work. But honestly, I’d probably be so engrossed in the conversation that I wouldn’t even notice whether the food was going into my mouth or my nose.
Where would you like to travel next?
People are always surprised when I say this, but I don’t really have a burning desire to travel the world, probably because I’ve already done so much of it. Thanks to my dad being a diplomat, I spent 17 years of my life overseas, mostly in Europe, and I’ve been lucky enough to visit nearly every place I’ve ever dreamed of.
But if there’s one place I’d love to revisit, it’s Rome — a city that feels like my hometown in so many ways. It’s where I had my most carefree days, running around without a worry in the world. I’d love to visit the house I used to live in, to see it with my eyes now as an adult. I think the moment I’d stand there, memories of my childhood would flood back like a montage, as if I were watching a reel of my own life. I can already imagine how overwhelming it would feel..enough to bring tears to my eyes.
In your opinion, who is the most influential person/company in the world of technology these days?
OpenAI undoubtedly stands as the most influential force in technology today. I’m particularly excited about Sora, a highly anticipated tool yet to be released, which has the potential to revolutionise the landscape of video AI.
Given the delays in its launch, I can only imagine that it will debut as an advanced, upgraded platform. I’m particularly excited to see how it addresses the current limitations of prompt-based systems and elevates the creative process for creators like myself. The anticipation is immense, and I can’t wait to see how it inspires and empowers a new era of storytelling.
If you could pick one app/product/project existing now that you wish you were involved in, what would it be?
I recently watched a Coca-Cola advertisement created entirely with AI. While it was impressive, I couldn’t help but think, “If I were on that team, I would have infused it with a deeper message and a stronger sense of artistry.”
This work excites me — projects where AI isn’t just a tool but a medium to craft meaningful stories and seamless narratives. Whether it’s an advertisement or a collaboration, I’d love to bring my strength in storytelling and intuitive vision — the kind of third eye that sees beyond the surface — to the table, creating pieces that captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression.
What is your next goal?
My next goal is to direct a one-hour AI-generated commercial film and continue establishing myself as a pioneer in AI, spreading its potential and applications across Korea. I aspire to create the first AI commercial film that streams on platforms like Netflix, Disney+ and Apple TV. It is a groundbreaking project that blurs the line between reality and AI.
Above all, I dream of producing a film so realistic and seamless that viewers can’t tell if it’s live-action or AI-generated. I want to craft a narrative where the story, characters, emotions, performances and dialogue blend together naturally, creating the most lifelike and immersive AI film ever made. It’s about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and redefining storytelling in the AI era.
What tips do you have for people wanting to start in the tech world?
“Don’t just think! ACT.”
We live in an era where the word ‘impossible’ holds no meaning. The only limits that remain are the ones you set for yourself. This is the age where you can truly do anything. The real challenge isn’t capability — it’s momentum.
Dream unapologetically and pursue those dreams with relentless energy. Let your imagination soar beyond the horizon. As Buzz Lightyear would say, “To infinity and beyond!”
