Create diversity within media tech

Back in May, I had the chance to visit Belgrade and speak at Tomorrow Conference. My speech was about creating diversity in media tech and how we can train more women journalists. After almost three months, watching my speech again made me realise how I want to support more women to get into the field.

We need more women in the tech world, as well as we need more women who are tech professionals who can write using their knowledge in a tech magazine.

The importance of women in media tech cannot be overstated, as they bring diverse perspectives, creative ideas, and valuable skills to an industry that has historically been male-dominated. Empowering women in media tech has far-reaching benefits beyond gender equality; it enhances innovation, fosters inclusivity, and drives the industry towards greater success.

First and foremost, diversity in media tech fuels innovation and creates more inclusive products and services. Women often bring unique viewpoints and experiences to the table, enabling tech companies to develop solutions that cater to a broader audience. By encouraging gender diversity, media tech industries can tap into a vast pool of untapped talent, leading to a richer and more varied array of ideas and technological advancements.

The ways to make this happen are:

Education

Taking the Risk

Mentorship

Women in media tech also serve as role models for aspiring female professionals. By seeing successful women in influential positions within the industry, young girls are inspired to pursue careers in media tech. Encouraging more women to enter the field helps bridge the gender gap, fostering a supportive environment that attracts and retains female talent and ultimately increasing gender diversity across all levels of the industry.

Watch my speech to discover my personal story and how I want to help more women achieve their dreams. Imagine if all women and men leaders were taking under their wings a woman to teach her all they know about business. That would be the ideal situation!
