“Ksou Ksou”: The mobile app that repeals mosquitoes

How would you feel if we told you there is a way to eliminate mosquitoes just by using your mobile phone?

“Ksou Ksou”, a mobile app developed by Apostolou Christos, gives you this feature at the click of a button. The young Greek developer created the application that naturally repels mosquitoes, using sound signals that are not perceived by humans but are particularly annoying for mosquitoes and cockroaches.

This innovative and eco-friendly application is offered for free download and is particularly simple and easy to use. More than 150,000 users have already downloaded and used “Ksou Ksou”, and as the Greek developer points out, their feedback on its effectiveness is overwhelmingly positive.

4i Magazine spoke with the app’s creator, Apostolos Christos, seeking more information on how “Ksou Ksou” works, how he got the inspiration for this innovative solution, and his plans as a developer.

First, tell us a few words about the Ksou Ksou app. How did you come up with the idea?

The Ksou Ksou app is an innovative solution I developed to repel mosquitoes. The idea came to me when mosquitoes constantly bothered me during a camping trip. I wanted to find a way to keep these pesky insects away without relying on traditional methods like insecticides or mosquito nets. That’s when I realized the potential of using sound frequencies to repel mosquitoes. I conducted extensive research and eventually developed the Ksou Ksou app to provide a convenient and effective solution for mosquito repellent.

Let’s look at some more technical issues. How exactly does the application repel mosquitoes, and to what extent is it effective?

The Ksou Ksou app works by emitting high-frequency sound waves that are specifically designed to repel mosquitoes. These sound waves are inaudible to humans but are highly disruptive to mosquitoes, deterring them from approaching the user. The app’s effectiveness may vary depending on factors such as the user’s location, mosquito species, and environmental conditions. However, extensive testing has shown that the app can significantly reduce mosquito encounters for many users.

How long can one use the app? Are there any precautions users should take? (as with any other pets they may own)

Depending on the user’s requirements, the app can be used for as long as needed. There are no specific time limits for using the app. However, it’s important to note that the Ksou Ksou app is not intended to replace other necessary precautions for mosquito control, such as eliminating standing water or using appropriate clothing and repellents when outdoors.

An app that repels mosquitoes is a highly original idea. What kind of feedback and reviews do you get?

The feedback and reviews for the Ksou Ksou app have been overwhelmingly positive. Users have reported significantly reduced mosquito bites and a more enjoyable outdoor experience. Many have praised the app for its convenience, effectiveness, and eco-friendly approach compared to traditional methods. The app has gained a strong following, with users sharing their positive experiences and recommending it to others. It’s truly rewarding to see the positive impact the app has had on people’s lives.

Now the app can also be used to repel cockroaches, and it has more than 150,000 downloads. Are there plans for new additions as well?

Yes, the Ksou Ksou app has also expanded its functionality to repel cockroaches. This addition was based on user feedback and requests for a broader range of pest-repellent capabilities. With over 150,000 downloads, the app has gained a significant user base and continues to grow. As for plans, I am constantly exploring new possibilities and improvements for the app. Based on user needs and technological advancements, I’m considering adding support for repelling other common pests, such as flies or ants. The goal is to provide a comprehensive pest-repellent solution through continuous updates and enhancements to the app.
