February 2022- Note from the Editor in Chief

Andriani vs Metaverse

I think this title suits my eagerness to learn more about the trend that is called Metaverse. I know that many people support it but at the same time lots of people are against it.

For me is something in between. I do remember when I was a child and watching movies with reference to virtual reality it seemed something really out of this world. Was it really? Well many years later, I do recall my mum telling me that those movies are made from humans, which means that can happen in reality. Back then the future seemed so far away, but a child always thinks that!

Now we are entering a new world of reality. Do you think it was planned many years ago? Do you think it is triggered because of the pandemic? I am not sure if I have the answers to those questions. I can say with certainty that I am intrigued of this future.

Also back at my uni days, the video game “The Sims” was a trend. So, am I allowed to say that all this metaverse thing reminds me of this game?

It seems interesting to use metaverse in many sectors or industries. Here in 4i-Magazine we will have a series of articles regarding Metaverse and its use in different sectors. The 4i-Magazine team and I are looking forward to hearing from you and your comments on metaverse.

Stay tuned on our Social Media as we are planning quizzes, polls and many interesting things for you to interact with.
