Women Empowerment – Editor in Chief Note

This month I would like to share a small part of my keynote at Tomorrow Conference, which took place in May 2023 in Belgrade. I spoke about women’s empowerment and the need for mentorship in the tech sector.

Women in Tech and Women Empowerment are becoming vital cultural and societal institutions in everyday life. We have women who code, women in Web3 communities, women who empower women and many more. A woman can have many self versions, she can be a career chaser, a mum, a wife, or a single woman, but she still is a single entity and needs to be acknowledged within the Technology sector.

As an Editor in Chief of 4i Magazine, I want to empower women to learn more about tech trends. In addition, in the future, why not run their own Tech magazine or a Tech Start-up one day? We need more female technology experts, and as AI, Web3, and other tech trends are rising, we need them to learn more and start researching. The tech sector needs more women with concrete technology backgrounds; one cause is that many companies offer different jobs, salaries, and benefits than they would offer to men.

Women Empowerment

Mentorship is a key factor in having diversity in any sector; we need to transfer our knowledge and skills to other people and future generations. We need more mentors to offer their knowledge and skills to women. Teach them how to become leaders. Teach them how to become entrepreneurs. So, why not create a community of mentors who would like to share their experience and knowledge in order to help the diversity in the tech world? That way, these women will be able to mentor other women in the future who will be able to create and develop new ideas.
