March 2022 – Note from the Editor in Chief

This month’s editorial is dedicated to MWC in Barcelona. I am really excited that I was able to attend with Kristi Shehu, 4i-Magazine journalist, and we covered the conference.

It was a huge event with people and companies from all around the world. We did learn a lot and of course one of our big goals was ‘Networking’. Meeting people in person is always easier, discussing about what we and they do face to face it reminds us how world was 2 years ago.

The exhibition was divided into parts, with a large section, in the first hall, being dedicated to Huawei. I was able to talk to people from different offices in Europe and Asia. We did talk about ‘Intelligent Education’, ‘Smart School Campus’, ‘Digital Intelligent Manufacturing’. It is really interesting to see how technology is helping education to change and become more accessible from different parts of the world.

Nokia, Samsung, Ericsson, ZTE, Fujitsu, IBM, Microsoft were some of the well known companies who were taking part in MWC. Each of them had something new for us to see, which for sure will become a trend this year.

Digital Innovation at its finest at KT stand, named ‘Digico KT’, we were able to become familiar with different technologies such as real dance with AI technology; Traffic Digital Twins; AIoT Electric Wheelchair; AI quarantine robot, which was presented for the first time in MWC. The aim of this robot is to clean space by checking indoor air in real time using Air Map Korea.

Many countries had their on stands presenting their innovative companies and ideas. To name some, Ireland, Canada, Greece, Spain, Estonia, Italy and Belgium.

Of course StartUps could not be missed in this event. We came across lots of interesting people and ideas. We did discuss with them about how did they come up with their idea, how they are planning to continue their project etc.

Stay tuned for more detailed overviews and interviews from the MWC.

PS: I couldn’t not to mention that 8th March is International Women’s Day. Let’s take some time and celebrate with all these amazing women out there! It doesn’t matter if you are a mother, a wife, a loner, a CEO, a teacher, a doctor etc. Just be what you want to be, we are all together in this world and we can make it a better place!
