iPhone 15, price leaked online

Other gadgets expected in September are AirPods Lite and Apple Watch with micro-Led display

Apple fans are gearing up for the new iPhone line-up that will hit shops later this year. Despite the fact that the launch is still months away, rumours about the price of Apple’s next family of smartphones are rife online. Forbes has detected a suspected ‘leak’ via the popular Chinese messaging app Weibo. According to the rumour, the standard and Plus variants of the iPhone 15 will adopt Dynamic Island and a triple rear camera.

The so-called Dynamic Island can display notifications for Apple Pay transactions, low battery alerts, AirDrop transfers and privacy indicators. According to the source, the base model will start at a price tag of $799, while the Pro will have a price tag of $1,099. The leaker predicted that the Plus would start at $899 and the iPhone 15 Ultra at $1,199. According to a previous report, the price of the iPhone 15 may be reduced. The Forbes report claims, however, that “these price increases now look even more likely because the sources have given a good idea of the leaker’s identity, and the information should be taken seriously.”

Although the company is notoriously secretive about details, some astute analysts expect similar price movements. The new range is expected to arrive in shops in the second half of next year or early 2024. Apple expert analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed details of the other desired products during the usual September conference. The company is expected to unveil the second-generation AirPods, even dropping them in price from $129 to the new $99.

If the rumours are true, the cheaper earbuds, known as ‘AirPods Lite’, could be the company’s attempt to keep up with competitors. Analyst Jeff Pu, on the other hand, anticipated the arrival of yet another key Apple product that will only go on sale in 2024: its first Apple Watch with a micro-Led display, which uses microscopic LEDs in the pixels to render more accurate colours, higher contrast, and the ability to display clearly even in direct light on the watch face.
