MWC: Raul Gonzalez Caldera, Worldwide Brand Solutions Architect at IBM & Hybrid Cloud Mesh
IBM Demo: Always a regular presence at Mobile World Congress, IBM‘s stand at the last edition was again one of the busiest of the entire fair. The reason is obvious, as the US company offers the opportunity to discover the many technologies it has in its catalogue and those on which it works. This is a way to understand where information technology is going, the trends of the moment, and those of the near future.
One of the most discussed topics at the Barcelona show was ‘Connecting Everything‘, a priority for IBM to support companies in simplifying application connectivity with secure and scalable products. One of the biggest challenges for businesses today is managing the network connectivity of applications, which is complicated by the adoption of edge, hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, with data and apps distributed across public and private clouds and the support of a remote and dynamic user base.

Businesses need to be in control of network connectivity in a multi-cloud environment, which they do not own. This is what Hybrid Cloud Mesh, a multi-cloud network solution that makes it easier for corporate IT teams to optimise application performance with reliable network connectivity.
A Saas product launched by IBM last December, Hybrid Cloud Mesh allows organisations to establish simple and secure application-centric connectivity across a wide range of public and private clouds, edge and on-premise. But that’s not all, as IBM’s solution helps bridge operational silos by providing granular network control to CloudOps and easy-to-consume interfaces to DevOps teams.
To better understand Hybrid Cloud Mesh and how it works, we followed the demo described by Raul Gonzalez Caldera, IBM’s Worldwide Brand Solutions Architect. In a little over three minutes, he explained the solution’s benefits, which are ideal for speeding up work and maintaining high efficiency.
