During her time at IBM, Su contributed significantly to developing silicon-on-insulator semiconductor manufacturing technologies and more efficient semiconductor chips, establishing herself as a key innovator in the industry.

After her successful stint at IBM, Su moved to Freescale Semiconductor in 2007, taking on the role of chief technology officer. At Freescale, she led the company’s technology roadmap and research and development efforts. Later, she was promoted to senior vice president and general manager of Networking and Multimedia, where she was responsible for global strategy, marketing, and engineering for the company’s embedded communications and applications processor business.
