Prank apps are extremely popular on April Fool’s Day, and they are a funny and inexpensive way to fool your friends or colleagues.

There are two main versions of the place and time this custom was born. April Fool’s Day is an annual custom on April 1 consisting of practical jokes and hoaxes. April Fool’s lies are a custom that originated in Europe.

According to the first version, the custom originated with the Celts, the people of northwestern Europe. The Celts were keen fishermen, and the fishing season started on April 1. Fishermen would lie about how many fish they had caught, and that’s how the custom began.

The second version, considered more historically sound, wants the birthplace of the custom to be France in the 16th century. Until 1564 the French New Year was April 1. However, that year, and during the reign of Charles IX, this changed, and January 1 was now considered New Year’s Day. At first, not all citizens accepted this. The reactionaries continued celebrating their now-old New Year’s Day on April 1, while the rest sent them New Year’s gifts to mock them. This teasing turned into a custom over time.

Whatever its origin, what is certain is that it is a custom dominated by lies. Technology allows us to lie or trick our friends and partners using tech apps. We have selected five prank apps to help you celebrate April Fool’s Day this year hilariously and unforgettable.

#2 – Real Razor Prank

Use this funny prank app to mimic a hair trimmer, clipper, or razor with your smartphone, and have fun with your friends and colleagues during April Fool’s Day. In addition to the sound, it has vibration on contact, so the sensation is very realistic. You can also use it to prank your children since this app simulates an accurate hair trimmer.

#3 – Empty Messages

Surprise your friends by sending blank messages on Whatsapp, Messenger, or any app. There is nothing scarier than receiving a blank text message. With this prank app, you can crack an absolute joke and make everyone wonder what’s happening!

#4 – Dude Car Prank

The main feature of the “Dude Car Prank” app is its personalization tool. This is a photo manipulation app that can make it look as if something horrible has just happened to your friends or co-workers’ cars. You only need to take a photo of their car and use the app to add some “damage”, such as broken glasses, scratches, or dents. Those who see a photo of their damaged car will undoubtedly be fooled!

You can find dozens of other prank apps for Android and iOS devices. The secret, however, is to remain serious when using them to succeed in fooling your friends and colleagues.
