The global event will take place in this year’s Portuguese Capital of Culture, Aveiro, with over 70 startups and 100 speakers from all over the world to discuss a range of insights around sustainability, culture, and entrepreneurship

Following its success during last month’s Rio Innovation Week in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Planetiers World Gathering announces its full agenda for this year’s edition in the Portuguese Capital of Culture, Aveiro, to take place on 27-29 October 2024. With a focus on culture and sustainability, the conference will welcome over 70 startups and 100 changemakers, innovators, and climate experts from all over the world. More than 17,000 virtual and in-person visitors are expected to attend to engage in cutting-edge panel discussions, keynotes, and workshops. First launched in 2020, Planetiers World Gathering aims to help changemakers connect and highlight long-term sustainable solutions amid the climate crisis.

During Rio Innovation Week last month, the Planetiers stage featured several panel discussions to promote sustainability with expert insights from global brands such as Danone, Lóreal, Engie, Blackrock, Unilever, and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. Topics ranged from social entrepreneurship, food systems, economic development, female empowerment, diversity and inclusion, and investment. The upcoming Planetiers World Gathering in Aveiro aims to expand these conversations with renowned global speakers and special features around the intersection of wellness, culture, and sustainability.

In addition, attendees will have access to Green Experiences spaces to test electric cars, discover new innovative solutions around greentech, and participate in roundtable discussions. International mentorship will also be available through workshops and networking, enabling participants to collaborate, share, and discuss disruptive innovations and business opportunities that have the potential to help solve major climate-related challenges.

Relevant topics of this year’s Planetiers World Gathering include sustainable investment, diversity and inclusion, regenerative agriculture, health and wellness, circular economy, AI, and more. After four years of successful events, Planetiers World Gathering has become a hub for sustainability discussions and positioned Portugal as an attractive country for environmental investment. The 2024 agenda aims to highlight pressing challenges to sustainability and raise awareness of the need for long-term solutions to counteract global issues.
