How to use the Paris Olympics and Paralympics apps

If you have purchased tickets for the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics, retrieving and managing them requires using the official Games apps. There are two different apps that you need: the “Paris 2024 Tickets” app and the “Paris 2024 Olympics” app. The first one is to manage your tickets, while the second one will help you collect information about the Games and have access to highlights and multimedia content.

The “Paris 2024 Olympics” app

The “Paris 2024 Olympics” app offers a comprehensive suite of features designed to enhance your Olympic and Paralympic experience. With the app, you can watch live sports events from anywhere, ensuring you don’t miss any of the action, and gain access to every single Olympic replay or highlight. Enhancing your Games experience

The app is designed to provide a comprehensive experience for both attendees in Paris and viewers from home. Some key features include:

Brand New Homepage: Highlighting everything about Paris 2024.

Competition Schedule: Helps you prepare for your Games.

Torch Relay Section: Follow the relay route throughout France and overseas.

Games Map: Shows all events related to the Games nearby, including celebrations, cultural events, and national team houses.

The “Paris 2024 Tickets” app

Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to navigate the ticket app and make the most of your Olympic experience.

Downloading the app: First, ensure you have the correct app by downloading the “Paris 2024 Tickets” app from your smartphone’s app store. It’s crucial to distinguish this from the “Paris 2024 Olympics” app, which only provides information about the Games and does not facilitate ticket management.

Setting up the app: After downloading, open the app and select your preferred language. The app supports English and will default to it if your phone is set to English. Next, log in using the email and password you used when purchasing your tickets on the official ticketing website.

Accessing your tickets: Upon logging in, navigate to the “My Ticketing Account” section found in the Menu bar. From there, go to “Upcoming sessions” on the homepage. This section lists all the tickets you have purchased.

Viewing event details: Clicking on each session provides detailed information about your event, including the date, time, location, and a description of the event. If you’re new to a particular sport, this section offers a brief overview of the sport’s rules and scoring system, enhancing your viewing experience.

Retrieving your tickets: Select the purple arrow next to the ticket outline to view your ticket. Here, you will see your seat number and the ticket holder’s name. For security reasons, the QR code, which is essential for entry, will appear a few days before the event. Do not be alarmed if the QR code space is initially blank.

Managing your tickets: The app offers three main options for managing your tickets: transfer, rename, and resell.

Transfer tickets: If you want to give your ticket to someone else or distribute tickets among your group, use the “Transfer” option. The app allows you to send tickets via email, text, WhatsApp, or other messaging services. Your recipient will receive a message with a link to download the app and retrieve their ticket.

Rename tickets: All tickets must be in the name of the person attending the event. If you have multiple tickets under your name, use the “Rename” feature to update the names. This can be done multiple times, allowing flexibility if plans change. Each attendee will need to show a photo ID matching the ticket name at the event.

Resell tickets: If you can no longer attend and cannot transfer your ticket to someone you know, the “Resell” option allows you to return the ticket to the official resale site. You will receive your money back minus a small administrative fee if sold. It’s important to note that the official ticket site and resale site are the only authorized platforms for game tickets. Avoid buying tickets from unauthorized sources like Viagogo or Ticketmaster.

The “Athlete365” app

For athletes, the new Athlete365 app is essential for accessing and managing photos from the Games. This app is designed to enhance the athlete experience and includes numerous features to keep you connected and informed.

Direct access to photos: In the “Your Photos” section, you can access all your Games-time photos, including professional headshots and Victory Selfies. These photos can be shared on social media, helping you engage with fans and build your brand.

Get a professional headshot: Make sure to get one at the Olympic Village Studio. These headshots are used in various media, including TV graphics and social media. The studio is open daily; athletes should wear their NOC uniform or competition gear. An audio recording of your name will also be taken to ensure correct pronunciation during commentary.

Capturing your winning moment: If you win a medal, you can capture the moment with a Victory Selfie. Before the medal ceremony, you will be briefed on how to use the provided phone to take your selfies. These selfies are available to download approximately one hour after the ceremony via the Athlete365 app and can be shared for non-commercial purposes. For more information and updates, regularly check the Athlete365 app and stay connected with all the latest news and features.

By following this guide, you can seamlessly navigate the Paris 2024 apps, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable Olympic experience. Whether you’re a spectator or an athlete, these apps are designed to enhance your participation and keep you engaged with the Games.
